Summers false start and more...

So we got the big tease about a week and a half ago with a bunch of summer days in early April. I can only hope that was a preview for what's ahead for us here at The Piazza. Our vintage section has been very well received, and we've been adding items about 3 times a week to keep up with demand. Right now we have a few typewriters from at least 70 years ago, an Elvis bust, framed Frazetta prints, and a bunch more miscellaneous stuff you need. Based it being pretty crazy up here when the weather broke, we've ordered a ton of new stuff that's on the way- Unstoppable Tees, Rebel 8 restock, Gama-go, Poketo, Formula Werks, and a bunch more vintage. We are also gearing up for the Skindustry Expo Tattoo Convention in Allentown. We'll be there with our summer home away from home Coastline Tattoo. We'll actually be together at this one unlike our debacle in Philly. We currently have the 'All Girls Go To Hell' show from Buddy Nestor showing in the Toothless Cat Gallery. It will be up until April 28th and you should definitely check it out. Large painted canvasses of distorted women that sent a little girl out in tears the other day. Just get in here already...

Buddy Nestor's 'All Girls Go To Hell' reception THIS Sat. 4/3 + new merch

Please join us THIS Saturday, April 3rd to see painter Buddy Nestor's 'All Girls Go To Hell Series'. Here's his bio;

I was born and raised in Collingswood , New Jersey , a suburb of Philadelphia , Pennsylvania. As an only child Latch Key Kid, I spent endless hours in front of the television, watching movies and drawing. I gravitated toward strange cult and horror films. Skateboarding in my teens exposed me to Punk, Indie, and Metal music. In 1997, after the birth of my son, I decided to teach myself to paint. In 1999, I traveled around the world on an aircraft carrier, and painted everyday. Painting in isolation on the boat, showed me the calming effect that the creative process had on my mind and body. I returned to school and received a B.A in Fine Arts.

The series I am presently working on is called, Every Girl Goes to Hell. All of the models I use for these portraits are very beautiful. However, when I paint them, they are very ugly.

Also, we have a ton of stuff left from the tattoo convention. New Rebel8, Me Against the World, Gama-go, and To Die For in the mix...

Tattoo show cancelled

We are not having a tattoo show or book signing during this years Philadelphia Tattoo Convention. We will still be attending the show, and encourage folks in town for the convention to come see our new space and the rest of The Piazza. We just got in a couple of Eric Eaton's pieces from his show at Pure Gold and they're awesome. Also new Giant Unicorn Dunny from Amanda Visell and Kid Robot and Jumping Brains from Toy2R.
